Rice is charged separately

Jasmine rice is 40 baht — the cheapest single item across all 228 dishes.

Two people wanting both sides: order one Thai dish and one pasta or pizza, then share. That covers both for roughly 500–600 baht.

Same dish, different price — what changes

Several dishes come with a choice of chicken or prawn, and the gap is 20–30 baht.

  • Pad thai: chicken 160 / prawn 190
  • Fried rice: chicken 160 / prawn 180 / crab 220 / pineapple seafood 220
  • Rad na: chicken 170 / seafood 190
  • Massaman: chicken 190 / beef 220

On a first visit, the chicken version costs less and the difference in flavour is smaller than the price gap suggests.

What Thai guests order versus what travellers order

Travellers tend to pick pad thai, tom yum goong, green curry and cashew chicken — the names they already know from home.

Thai guests tend to pick pad krapow, pad kana moo krob, pad pak boong, squid with chilli jam and som tam — the dishes you can eat any day without tiring of them.

Both groups order jasmine rice at 40, because nearly every stir-fry and curry needs rice under it.

How much to order

A rough rule for Thai food shared around the table: one main per person, plus one or two starters for the table, plus a rice each.

A table of four: 2 starters + 4 mains + 4 rice. That lands right, with nothing wasted.
